On July 2, (two days before the start of our first camp), a group from Heritage Baptist Church came and started installing the new dock. It was a very chilly morning, but the men went right into the water and started the project. Before they left that day, they had the dock well underway. In fact, we thought that we would be able to finish it on Monday morning before the campers arrived. Other jobs kept taking priority and we were unable to work on the dock until this past weekend. The platform of the dock is now complete, and the staff and campers will be able to use it this week. The dock is a great blessing! Sitting there with the moon glistening on the water and your feet hanging over the edge of the dock is a perfect spot for meditating upon the goodness of God. It is so peaceful and relaxing.
