The Young at Heart Retreat is an overnight event for our friends who are 55 years old and older. The evening on June 3rd provides time to relax around a campfire, have a snack, and hear a devotional thought. The day on June 4th includes two meals, skits, special music, preaching, wagon rides, the Lakeglide, and many other activities. Because several of our friends come from many hours away and have a full day planned, we offer an overnight option for this event.
Please see the options below.
Speaker
Pastor John Leatherman
In 1973, Pastor Leatherman was saved at Faith Bible Church in Elkridge, Maryland. He graduated from a Bible institute in 1978. He became the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Millville, PA, in March of that same year and served there until November of 1984. He then became the pastor of the Dry Run Independent Baptist Church in Duncansville, PA, in January 1985. He still ministers there today with his wife Tammy. Pastor Leatherman has served on several Mission and Bible College boards.
His first wife, Deborah, went home to be with the Lord in June 1998. He then married the former Tammy Clapper in April 2001. He has four children and 10 grandchildren. We believe you will enjoy his preaching and his fellowship.
