The Young at Heart Day is a one-day event for our friends who are 55 years and older. The day on June 4th includes two meals, skits, special music, preaching, wagon rides, the Lakeglide, and many other activities.
Speaker
Pastor John Leatherman
In 1971, Pastor Leatherman graduated from Keyser High School in Keyser, West Virginia. He was saved in 1973 at Faith Bible Church in Elkridge, Maryland. He graduated from Bible Truth Institute in Sunbury, PA, in May 1978. He became pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Millville, PA, in March of 1978. He served there until November 1984. He then became the pastor of the Dry Run Independent Baptist Church in Duncansville, PA, in January 1985 until present.
Pastor Leatherman has served on several Mission and Bible College boards. He has served as president and in other offices in the Central Pennsylvania Fundamental Pastors’ Association. He is currently the moderator of the Old-Fashioned Southern Camp Meetings in the North.
He was married to the former Deborah Pigati in March of 1973. She went home to be with the Lord in June 1998. He then married the former Tammy Clapper in April 2001. He has four children and 10 grandchildren.

Cost: $30 per individual
The day begins with brunch at 10:00 a.m., but you are welcome to come early and enjoy the property. The activities conclude with a meal at 4:00 p.m.
