Barley Straw

Last summer was hot and dry, and we had an algae growth on the lake.  We called a company to treat the lake and they quoted $2,800 per year.  Michael did some research and found the Penn State website to be abundantly helpful.  One of the options that their website suggested was using barley straw as an alternative to expensive and toxic chemicals.  Frank located some barley straw, Adam donated it, and Nathan strung a rope across the lake and attached the straw bales. Thanks everyone for all your help.

Prime Sirloin Banquet

We had another OUTSTANDING banquet on Saturday at Prime Sirloin as we shared “The Lodge Project.”  Perhaps, I went into the banquet with a little less enthusiasm than the last banquet because it was a smaller group.  Till the end of the banquet, however, I was very excited.  It was a super neat group of people with lot of zeal and excitement about God’s work at Servant’s Heart Camp.  There obviously was some sacrificial giving and God was glorified!
