We had an outstanding staff this summer and they were finished and free to leave on Monday evening. Six of the staff decided to stay and help dig ditches, stain cabins, and various other projects. It looked like everyone was going to leave this morning (Friday). These girls were staining the cabin and they realized they were not going to be able to finish staining unless they stayed another day. Staining cabins is NOT a fun job, but they called their parents and asked to stay another day. These three girls along with the rest of the summer staff were a BLESSING!
Serving at summer Camp is amazing! I will give just one story from this week of camp. On Monday as the counselor was explaining the scripture memory program one of the campers ask, “what is a verse?” That night the camper talked to her counselor after the invitation time. The camper asked her counselor to explain “salvation” that Brother Dan was talking about. She had never heard anything like this before. Finally, on Thursday, this camper prayed to receive Christ as her personal Savior. To God be the glory, great things He is doing
