The first year we had camp on the new property here in Ramey, we owned a very OLD golf cart for the operational staff to use. That year we had two girls that were responsible for setting up games, tearing down games, hauling water, and keeping gas in the six generators around the property. Unfortunately, the golf cart only worked a small percentage of the time. Frequently those girls were forced to carry five gallons of gas to the generator locations. That year one of those girls gave a donation to Servant’s Heart Camp that was designated for a reliable vehicle for the operational staff. The following year, we sold the old golf cart.
This spring, some friends of the ministry found and purchased a 2007 Polaris Ranger that needed some minor clutch repair. They ordered the parts and repaired the Ranger. With their major donation, the donation from the very first year, and the sale of the golf cart; SHCM only needed to pay a token amount toward the Polaris Ranger. It is now on the property and it is a blessing. Yesterday, there was a work group here and it got its first workout. All day long the Ranger moved games, equipment, and supplies around the property. This Polaris Ranger is another huge blessing!
