Encouraged On the Road

March has given us many opportunities to preach and present the ministry of Servant’s Heart Camp. The Lord used each church to encourage us in the ministry.

On Saturday evening, March 3, we left for Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church in Shinglehouse. Although the pastor had given us directions, we decided to use the GPS. For the first few hours everything was great, but as we got closer to the church the GPS had some fun at our expense. I carefully followed the GPS as it directed us onto a snow covered dirt road through the deep dark forest. When we finally arrived back on a main road, Pat and I each gave a sigh of relief. It was only a short distance until my friend, Tom (the GPS), did it again. We turned on another dirt road, but when it wanted us to turn on a muddy cow path, we simply refused. The dear folks at Grace had a good laugh at our expense. There was a reason why the pastor had given us directions. We had a wonderful time with the people and felt like we made some friends after just one Sunday at their church.

Beginning on March 11, we had the opportunity to participate in the Missions Conference at Riggles Gap Bible Church. It was a joy to open God’s Word and share two missionary challenges. The folks warmly received the preaching of God’s Word.

On Wednesday, March 14, we traveled to Red Lion Bible church to give an update on the ministry at SHCM. Pastor Schmuck (on behalf of the Ladies Bible Study) presented the camp with a generous gift.

On Saturday, March 17, I had the opportunity to bring the challenge for the First Baptist Teen activity. They had an amazing maze set up in the fellowship hall of the church. On Sunday, I preached and shared the ministry of SHCM. Once again, God used many people to encourage our hearts in several different ways.

March 21 – 25, we participated in the Mission’s conference at Fellowship Baptist Church in Emlenton. Every detail of the conference was carefully planned. They made each missionary family feel very special with lots of extras. It was almost hard to leave the “mountaintop experience” and return to the hard work waiting in Ramey.

We sincerely appreciated every church that has supported the ministry of Servant’s Heart Camp in so many different and various ways. If we can be a blessing to your church, please contact us.
