Many of you know that the building permit for our tenth cabin expires the end of this month. Because this is an ADA cabin, it requires a number of “extras.” This past week, a friend of the camp came and installed the natural stone in the bathroom. This stone allows us to make a smooth wheelchair access into the shower. This coming week, we have another friend of the camp that is planning to come and help install soffit and fascia. With the extra help from our friends, I think we should have the cabin finished with a week to spare.
Each year, we have three retreats at a rented location – the ladies retreat and two teen winter retreats. After many years of renting Timberwind Lodge, we have found a new place for the retreats. Clicking this link will show some pictures and give you an idea about the facility. Hopefully, we will only need to rent Camp Susque a few years until we have our own lodge.
