Are you 100% sure that you're going to heaven?

Most people feel that they will go to heaven because they are basically good people. They treat others with love and respect, and they have not done any really bad things. Many even go to church occasionally. These people are confident that their good works will outweigh their bad deeds. The Bible is very clear about who will and who will not go to heaven. Let's look at what the Bible says about going to heaven.

In Romans 3:23 the Bible tells us that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." That means that we have all failed to meet God's standard of perfection. |

John 3:4 gives us some additional insight about sin. It states that "sin is the transgression of the law." The law is simply referring to the Old Testament rules or the 10 Commandments. |

Most Americans have heard of the 10 Commandments and even know many of them listed in Exodus 20. Let's take a look at a few of the commandments and see if you have transgressed the law and are guilty before a holy God. Please be honest with yourself and with God as you answer the following questions.

The fourth commandment is to "honor your father and mother." Have you ever transgressed God's law by not honoring your father & mother? |

The sixth Commandment states "thou shalt not commit adultery." Have you ever committed adultery? |

The 8th commandment is "thou shalt not bear false witness." We are commanded to always tell the truth no matter what the consequences. Have you ever told a lie?
