Watermat

Last summer, two Bible Schools sent their offerings to Servant’s Heart. With a portion of that money, we bought a kayak and used it near the end of last summer. Recently, we used another part of that money to order a Watermat. The mat arrived today, and we were excited to see how it worked. We p…

On Sunday evening, April 22, it began snowing. By Monday morning the trees were heavy and the lights in our house cut off about seven times. Although it continued to snow, by Monday afternoon the wind seemed to gently sweep the snow off the trees. We had about 8” of snow before it ended early Tue…

Thank You CIBC
February 27th, 2012 5:50 PM
On Friday, February 24, we had a beautiful day in Ramey. It was a balmy day and the temperature approached 50 degrees. By Saturday morning at 7:30, we had blizzard conditions. That did not stop the work team from Calvary Independent Baptist Church from arriving at about 8:00. Because of the we…

After many years of searching and praying, God, in His perfect providence, has provided a piece of property for our permanent home. We are thrilled and excited about this tremendous opportunity to make an impact upon lives for eternity. Many of you may remember that last summer, Servant's Heart went to a public auction, and we were the high bidder on an existing camp. The morning of that auction, I read from Psalm 107 where the following phrase is repeated four times - "Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men." In verse 7 it says, "And He led them forth by the right way that they might go to a city of habitation." I read this verse the morning of the auction, and I reread that verse a few days later when I received the call that they sold the property to someone else. About 13 months later on the first morning that I spent at the new property, my normal scripture reading took me to Psalm 107 where I read "And He led them forth by the right way that they might go to a city of habitation." I believe that God has clearly led us to this new property, and I am excited to see how God will use it for His glory. Will you please praise God with us for His wonderful works to the children of men!
The 214 acre parcel is located in Ramey, PA. The property is conveniently located relatively close to route 80 (going east and west) and Route 99 (going north and south). There were several reasons that this land had great appeal for a camp property. It has a beautiful six acre lake which not only provides a beautiful and peaceful setting, but it also gives the opportunity for many activities. At the edge of the property, there is public water and public sewer. Without public sewer, the DEP would have required a sewage treatment plant and a certified sewage treatment plant operator. Additionally, the price per acre on this property was lower than almost all the other properties that we considered. To God be the glory!
Thank you so much to those of you who have prayed for years that God would provide a permanent camp home. It has been exciting to watch God work out the details for this property. Won't you thank God with us. Take time in prayer, even now, thanking God for His answer to prayer and His wonderful provision of a camp property.
"Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men."
Many of you have expressed interest in the progress of the camp property. for the next months, we plan to have a blog for our home page. Check back frequently as we plan to post each new happening. At this point things are happening quickly Please remember to pray with us concerning each step of the development process.
